Vincent Charlot farms four hectares of the Marne with the zeal of a soil evangelist. His Charlot-Tanneux estate works biodynamically, plot by tiny plot, and his cuvees read like a field notebook: Le Fruit de ma Passion, L'Or des Basses Ronces, Rubis de la Dune. Antonio Galloni reviewed the range at Vinous for years, with the saignee rose Rubis de la Dune twice reaching 93. Extra brut dosages, old barrels and wild ferments. Champagne as farming first, sparkle second.
