Sebastien Mazerat is a Cornas native from a winemaking family, and it shows in the wines' accent. At Domaine des Collines he farms five hectares of Syrah, plus a little Merlot and Chardonnay and fruit and forage crops besides, in the granite hill country of the IGP Collines Rhodaniennes, working alongside the owner, Christine, for nine years before becoming her partner in the domaine. Indigenous yeasts, minimal handling, minuscule sulfur after malolactic: northern Rhone Syrah with Cornas instincts at a country wine price.
