Rajat Parr spent his first career as one of the country's most celebrated sommeliers. He spends this one in boots, calling himself a wine farmer on the California coast. Parr Wines is the umbrella for that life in Cambria, five minutes from the Pacific in the SLO Coast AVA, with 11.5 regeneratively farmed acres at Phelan Farm and 33.5 farmed in all. Several labels live under one roof: Phelan Farm from the home estate, Brij from certified organic fruit grown by friends and neighbors, and Scythian. All of it cool climate, low intervention, and unmistakably his.
