Privacy Policy

Effective October 22, 2026. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

When you use the site, we record basic first-party usage data: the pages and producer profiles you view, how you reached the site (a referring link, a search, or a campaign tag in one of our emails), and technical details about your device such as browser, operating system, language, and screen size. We also record an approximate location, city and region, derived from your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself. We use your browser's local storage to hold a session identifier and to note whether you are a new or returning visitor. If you submit a form, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, email, and message.

What we do not do

We do not use third-party trackers, advertising pixels, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or cookies. We do not store your IP address. We do not sell or share your information.

How we use it

We use this information to understand how the site is used and to improve the site and our selection. If you contact us through a form, we use your details to reply.

Birdie

Birdie, our ordering platform for trade accounts, requires a separate sign-in and follows the same practices described here. Signed-in accounts give us a business name, a buyer's name, a business email and phone, and the orders they place, which we use to fill and invoice those orders. The Birdie app for iPhone and Android adds three optional things, each only if you turn it on: Face ID or fingerprint, which is checked by your phone and never leaves it; delivery notifications about your own orders, for which your phone gives us a device token we delete when you sign out; and a camera that reads a bottle label to find the wine in our list, where the photo is sent to our server for that one look and is not stored. Nothing in the app tracks you across other apps or websites, and there is no advertising.
